Valentine's Day Party Chaos!

Remember when you were little and you couldn't wait for the holiday parties? I do. I remember being SO excited because that meant more candy and less school time. I remember picking out cute little valentines for my classmates and getting so pumped to see who would give me one. Then when I eventually got home, I would read them all while I ate my candy...Kind of like Halloween but completely different...haha.

So anyway, today as I was helping prepare everyone's snacks for the Valentines party, I suddenly thought, "wow, never in a million years did I think I would be here" here would be me being a teacher helping and watching the other kids pass out their own valentines. Just another little thought I guess.

It was another great day. I started out in my usual room (the two year olds) for a little bit then eventually went to go help out in the three's with their party. Man, do I feel sorry for the parents. Those kids were so hyped up on sugar that they were literally climbing on EVERYTHING. They could barely sit down while eating their cupcakes. At one point, one boy just took it and smeared it all over the table after most of it had been smeared on his shirt. Come to think of it, I don't think any of it made it to his mouth haha. Also, today was Bailey's first day in the three's class and the other kids were flabbergasted at how dirty her face was. They kept saying, "ew! look at her face!" it was kind of funny because she was sitting at an angle to where I couldn't see her face, so when I came up to her, her face was completely covered in icing. So cute and so messy.

Later, another cute little girl, Cassy, ran out of her juice. Well, the only juice left was another child's, so I decided to give her water and put yellow food coloring in it. She was too smart and I don't blame her for not wanting it...it looked like pee. So after that, I gave her milk and put a little red food coloring in it this time to where it was pink (her favorite color) and she loved it! I was pretty proud of myself, not gonna lie.

Later that day, we had a little conversation about boys where at one point I asked her if she liked them. Her reply was, "no". So I asked, "why? because they have cooties?" she said ,"yeah" then I thought hmm, I should ask her what she thinks those are...this should be good...so I asked, "what are cooties?" she said, "wienas!"...haha 3 year olds...gotta love 'em!

Going back to earlier when I was cleaning up the aftermath, Christian came up to me with a ring from his cupcake and said, "I got this for you!"...it was so adorable. Then about a minute later he came back with another and said, "and this one!" it was so funny because you could see where he had tried to lick the red icing off the best he could.

It was a great day indeed and to top things off, I now have the cutest little Valentines for this special Holiday! Whoo!

And yes, that ring does say "True Love" haha.
