Day 3

Random Fact #3

I'm moving to Nashville, TN.

Crazy, I know. But God's been opening up so many doors lately and has been doing a lot in my life. I'm both excited and scared out of my mind at the same time. The whole experience will be like that first day of school all over again. You go into this bigger place where everything is foreign to you, you meet new people, you get lost, and you learn a lot.

(By the way, I know no one really reads my blog, but I would like to come back here and read my memories. That's the main reason I do this anyway haha.)

So basically, it all started when my family went on our annual family vacation to Colorado every summer. One night around the campfire, Loren was talking about this ministry he and Cheryl are apart of and it immediately caught my attention. The ministry focuses on removing younger students from their environments and going deeper with their walk with Christ. The program for the younger students is called "16 Days" where about 6 students from around the US come together and travel around together, embarking on different things that will challenge them in their walk. "The Experience" is the same thing, but for people about my age and offers the opportunity to go over seas. I'm really praying that if God wants me to be apart of The Experience, then He will open those doors for me.

So anyway, when I heard about that, I was later asked if I would want to go back with Cheryl and Loren to their home in Colorado to help with the ministry and meet the students. I said yes and the rest just fell into place. Through my experience there, God really challenged me a lot. Basically just trusting Him a ton because I had to quit my job in the first place to go back with them, and I was dealing with a lot personally. So, the more I learned to surrender, the more He was able to reveal to me. It was awesome. Literally, it seemed (and still seems) like one thing after another keeps happening! And I can honestly say that for the first time in my life, I feel like I am truly trusting God with everything.

Ok, back to how I got to the whole moving-to-Nashville thing. I remember one day, sitting at the table with Cheryl just thinking, "Would it be crazy if I moved to Nashville to nanny if I didn't find anything here?" so I asked her, then eventually my mom and they both said no. So I called my friends in Nashville and they said they would love to do that. So that was amazing right off the bat....but I still had the problem of not having somewhere to live. UNTIL, I asked a friend and he suggested someone who would be moving there in January. So that fell into place. God was working everything out and it was beginning to freak me out! Things have always been hard, so I definitely wasn't used to this. Aaaand that's basically how I got to the decision of moving to Nashville.

So, long post, but I wanted to remember it :)
