Can't Think Of A Clever Title...

Ok, so I am officially in love with life right now. Despite being completely frustrated with my job, not knowing where I'll live in a few months, and sick as I am typing this, I am still very content. I can't really explain why I'm...I guess, happy? But I've always been that kind of person who tends to look on the brighter side of things anyway. But it seems that regardless of the bumps in the road lately, I can't help but wanna take life by the horns rather than just sit back and watch it pass by.

For a while, there was a chance for me to move to Texas with an old friend and live there for possibly a year with some other roommates. It would've been awesome!...if that were God's Will. But it wasn't. So I'm currently still looking around here. On the bright side, I won't be 3 hours away from my family and friends now!

I also have the opportunity to go skydiving this weekend. That's right...SKYDIVING! Numero uno on my bucket list. I've made it a priority to start crossing off as many things as I can. My bestfriend, Taryn, thinks I'm crazy...really. Those were her words. "You're a crazy woman! I would never do that! Why?!" haha I ask..."why not?". My mom says I get my "thrill for life" from my dad because he's always up to do crazy stuff too. Next on the list: bungee jump...if I can find a place that will allow me to do so....haha.

Pretend that's me :)

Growing up and listening to the way my dad would speak about things, whether it be about nature or people, it was instilled in me to notice things that most others wouldn't at a very young age. I probably can't explain this very well in words, but I'll try to give an example the best that I can. My dad is a huge nature guy. He grew up with four brothers and his dad (my grandpa) is also the same way. They're very observant to things around them. Stories men. So growing up, my dad would learn from his dad about how to not take things for granted and how to "pay attention to detail"...that kind of stuff. Growing up, still to this day, every time we visit the park or drive through the mountains (well, when we're in Colorado), or even something as simple as a family dinner...my dad is the first to start by reminding us how blessed we are or is looking up close at the creations rather than just taking a glance. Studying it and appreciating it.

So by saying all that, I guess I mean to say that I feel blessed that my parents were taught to take a longer look at people and everything around them than just a glance. So that, in turn, they could teach my siblings and I how to look beyond the surface and dig a little deeper or simply appreciate what's been given to us. I sometimes find myself at the daycare just having to sit back and take in all the giggles and all the funny pronunciations of my name by the little kids or holding on to them as long as they'll let me because let's face it, two year olds are pretty cute and give pretty darn good bear hugs.

So yeah, to wind this up, I don't know what's going to happen down the road...but I'm very excited to see! Especially when I have God as the driver! Ohhhhhh yeah!

g'night.
